Tuition & Financial Aid
We believe that a quality education is a strong foundation for future success, and Lutheran Northwest is committed to providing an excellent Christian high school in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Part of that commitment is striving to keep the cost affordable for families. We do so in a number of ways:
Competitive Tuition - We maintain a competitive, straightforward tuition rate in comparison to local private schools.
No Participation Fees - We don’t “nickel and dime” families with book fees, athletic fees, electronic device fees, or dress code fees.
Financial Aid - We offer need-based financial aid to all qualified families through the Smart Aid program.
LHSA Congregational Support - The LHSA was founded by Lutheran congregations in Southeast MI, and many congregations support member families to assist with tuition costs.
Payment Plans - We offer a variety of payment plans and payment date options to meet the needs of our families.
We recognize that families need to understand the full financial obligations before committing to attend Lutheran Northwest. With this in mind, we make every effort to be transparent and upfront about the estimated cost of attendance. Please review this page and feel free to contact us with questions.
No Participation Fees
We don’t “nickel and dime” families with book fees, athletic fees, electronic device fees, or dress code fees.
We offer need-based financial aid to all qualified families. You may apply for financial aid at the same time that you apply for admission, but this must be through the Smart Aid website at the link below. Financial aid decisions will not be considered without required documentation (2018 W-2 and 1040’s). The deadline is typically April 15, 2019.

LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL ASSOCIATION
Many Lutheran high schools across the nation are owned and operated by an association of congregations. With the help of local Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) congregations, the Lutheran High School Association (LHSA) was incorporated in Southeast Michigan more than 75 years ago (1944). Since then, LHSA schools have provided a Christian education for more than 15,000 students!
Ownership of our multi-school system ultimately rests with the "participating" congregations. These congregations choose to assist member families at various levels of congregational support, and ultimately, this helps bring down the cost of a LHSA education (if you are a member of one of these congregations).
