Why Christian Education?

If you were to list the most important thing that you are looking for in a high school, what would it be?

  • Strong academics?

  • Superior fine arts programs?

  • Excellent athletics?

  • School safety?

What is the one non-negotiable characteristic that your high school has to have?

Simple math: The average high school student attends school for 180 days and 8 hours each day.  That is 1,440 hours per year.  Considering that the average teenager will be awake for 3,780 hours during the course of a school year, that means approximately 40% of his/her awake time during the school year will be spent at school… possibly more, depending on the level of co-curricular participation.

Spend that 40% at a school that encourages growth in Christ!

The time students spend learning and maturing in high school is some of the most important of their entire lives. What teenagers are taught and “fed” in school (especially during these formative years!) matters.

At Lutheran Northwest, our mission statement is Learning for Life! Leading in Truth!  Our mission is to create lifelong learners and leaders by teaching the truth of the Bible in every aspect of school.  Why Christian Education?… Biblical values that last a lifetime and into eternity.
