Congratulations & Happy Retirement, Mrs. Riske!

December 22, 2022 will be a bitter sweet day in the history of Lutheran Northwest as we mark the end of a Crusader legacy. This will be Mrs. Terri Riske's last day serving as secretary at Lutheran Northwest, and we celebrate with her as she makes the well-deserved transition into retirement.

Mrs. Riske has served our Lutheran High schools for 30 years! She started out as the head cook at Lutheran East when her children began attending there. After a couple of years, she moved into the school administrative assistant position and remained there until Lutheran East and Lutheran Northwest merged in 2004, when she joined the staff at Lutheran Northwest. Seven principals, hundreds of faculty and staff members, and countless students and parents have been blessed by Mrs. Riske’s gifts.

Terri looks forward to spending more time with her wonderful husband, Jim, their four amazing children and their spouses, and their seven beautiful grandchildren. She loves music, art, sewing/crafts, and traveling, and has many plans and projects waiting in the wings.

“It has been my great joy and privilege to serve in my small way in this wonderful ministry, with so many men and women of integrity, who love Jesus and the children entrusted to their care. When you spend your days with such people, in a place that feels like home, doing what you love, it never seems like work.  I will miss everything about this school – the students, parents, and faculty, the atmosphere, the mission. You will forever be in my prayers.”

Mrs. Riske, thank you for everything you have done for the Crusader community over the years! Your servant heart and dedication to the students and faculty will be greatly missed.

God's blessings in this next exciting stage of your life!
