Senior Spotlight: Anthony Adams
Anthony Adams
Lutheran Northwest
Valedictorian
A 4.0+ student at Lutheran Northwest, Anthony Adams is the Lutheran Northwest Class of 2025 Valedictorian. His future plans include attending the University of Michigan to study Molecular Biology or Biochemistry. He plans to room with his life-long best friend - and this year’s LHNW Salutatorian - Michael Maceri! Anthony’s home church is St. John Fraser, and he attended St. John Fraser for grade school.
Anthony participated in National Honor Society while at Lutheran Northwest (including serving as NHS President this year) and is receiving our STEM Biomedical endorsement. A member of the Leadership Cohort, Anthony has been recognized by the faculty of Lutheran Northwest with a number of awards in his four years, including the Social Studies Department Award, the Life Sciences Department Award, the Stewardship Award, and the Academic Curiosity Award (three years in a row!). Anthony was also recognized with a Letter of Commendation for Outstanding Performance on the PSAT/NMSQT in 2023.
In addition to his outstanding academic achievements at Lutheran Northwest, Anthony played violin in our Concert Band for all four years, accompanying the choir on tour twice as well. His three years in Drama - starting with stage crew and pit band before moving into acting roles - earned him a Thespian Letter at our recent Honors Convocation. An active member of our Lutheran Northwest Student Council, Anthony served as Junior Class President in addition to founding and heading the Committee on Academic Growth and Achievement and participating on both the Spiritual Life and Fine Arts Committees. Anthony also enjoyed playing Varsity Golf for two years and Junior Varsity Basketball for two years.
Anthony, what is your favorite thing about Lutheran Northwest?
My favorite thing about Lutheran Northwest is the teachers. Without them, I would not be where I am today, who I am today. Their support is often unparalleled, and so many of them show the deepest Christian kindness. Even those who are not teachers but who work at LHNW in a different capacity are absolutely wonderful, including my drama director and my basketball coach from freshman and sophomore years. All of these people have served and continue to serve as excellent mentors who are always willing to listen and who are committed to helping young people grow into educated and Christ-oriented young adults.
