Senior Spotlight: Julian Deschner

Salutatorian
A 4.0+ student at Lutheran Northwest, Julian Deschner is the Lutheran Northwest Class of 2026 Salutatorian. His future plans include attending the University of Michigan to study Engineering. A St. John Rochester school graduate, Julian’s home congregation is Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Bloomfield Hills.
Julian participated in the Leadership Cohort as well as National Honor Society, serving as our chapter historian, while at Lutheran Northwest, and he is receiving both our STEM Engineering and our Humanities endorsements. An Eagle Scout, Julian was featured on the Kelly Clarkson show in 2024 for his project, which provided firefighting gear-drying equipment for the Roseville Fire Department.
Julian was a member of our Varsity Wrestling Team for all four years and served as Team Captain. He played Varsity Soccer for two years, and he participated in Varsity Golf for one year.
Julian, what made your experience at Lutheran Northwest special?
The Christian environment at Lutheran Northwest was what made my time here special.
